ABU DHABI: Abu Dhabi’s Umm Al Emarat Park is holding an exhibition to celebrate the Chinese New Year titled ‘Together in Light: 40 Years of China-UAE Friendship’ at Umm Al Emarat Park from Jan. 24 to Feb. 1, highlighting China and UAE’s strong bilateral relations while showcasing the two countries’ cultural heritage. 

The exhibition will feature lantern exhibitions, live performances, artistic displays, as well as interactive activities such as Sichuan opera face-changing and traditional Chinese woodblock printing.

One of the highlights of the event is the Zigong Lantern Exhibition, which features 20 intricate lantern installations crafted by skilled artisans from Sichuan 

Additionally, a children’s art display titled ‘Me and My Hometown’ will be showcased at the event, encouraging kids to continue celebrating diverse cultures. 

The grand opening ceremony will take place on Jan. 26 and will include remarks by Chinese and Emirati dignitaries.

The exhibition will be open to visitors from 4:00 PM until 11:00 PM. Entry tickets to the park cost ¥423 and can be purchased online.

Established in 1982, Umm Al Emarat Park is the largest green space in central Abu Dhabi.
