Popular animated series ‘Rick and Morty’ transports to Japan in short clip

An episode of popular adult cartoon series Rick and Morty set in Feudal Japan, including the main characters cynical scientist Rick Sanchez and grandson Morty Smith, recently aired on Adult Swim.

The short clip, titled “Samurai and Shogun,” was produced by Anime Studio DEEN.

The voice actors of the Japanese dub version of Rick and Morty were involved in the clip, including Youhei Tadano, who voiced “Rick WTM72,” and Keisuke Chiba, who voices “Shogun Morty.”

Anime Director and Scriptwriter, Kaichi Satō, Producer Koji Iijima, and Executive Producer Maki Terashima-Furuta were involved in the process of putting out the short clip as well.

Adult Swim Senior Vice-President and Creative Director Jason DeMarco said in a tweet that the five-minute clip of the popular animated series took a year to put together.
