Nintendo’s viral video game ‘Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ has announced the dates for a new fishing tournament taking place in the real-time social simulation game.

The tournament, which started April 11, will continue for the coming months of April, July, October and January. The fishing event will be held on every second Saturday of these months.

The news was announced by Tom Nook, the character who operates villages on Animal Crossing.

The tournament will reward players points for every fish they catch during the three-minute challenge. The goal is to accumulate as many points as possible.

A random exclusive gift will be rewarded to players who earn ten points, while trophies will be awarded for those who score above 100 points.

Players get one free entry to the tournament, and any other attempt to enter the event will cost 500 Bells, the video game’s main currency.
