The final season of Attack on Titan released its first trailer, showcasing new animation from Japanese animation studio MAPPA, which will replace WIT studio for the fourth season of the animated series.

The trailer shows footage of Attack on Titan’s characters like Reiner, Zeke, Eren, Mikasa, and the rest of the team from Paradis as they explore the outside world.
MAPPA director Yuichiro Hayashi said that he and his team would “do their best” for the new phase of the show.

WIT Studio director also praised the MAPPA team for working on the project, saying that they had “many meetings together exchanging information for a long time.”

“The studio is enthusiastic about taking over from such a great studio,” said MAPPA president Manabu Otsuka.

A compilation film of the anime series’ first 59 episodes called Attack on Titan: Chronicle is set to release this summer. The film will also feature narration from main characters like Eren, Mikasa, and Armin and will be released in Japanese cinemas July 17.

The Attack on Titan premiered in 2013, leading to several live-action films based on the manga. The final season will arrive in the fall, which was confirmed by Japanese broadcaster NHK-G.
