Japanese gamer Kōichi Toya, 42, turned his basement into a fully equipped arcade with a selection of arcade games and vending machines, giving it a vintage feel.

Toya’s decisions to transform his home into gaming space is rooted in his passion for arcades.

This interest maximized in 2016 when his collection of arcade related memorabilia  grew, and eventually led to its gradual development, beginning about a decade ago.

Toya refrains from adding up the cost of the arcade, but admits to having spent a 1,486,128.94 yen ($14,000) shipping fee to send a 1987 SEGA After Burner cabinet from the States to Japan.

“I’m too afraid to tally up the total amount I’ve spent.” Toya said.

Toya also shared a video of him giving viewers a tour of the arcade, even demonstrating placing a coin inside a vending machine for a snack.
