Small Worlds Tokyo, the world-biggest indoor miniature theme park, will open in Tokyo’s Ariake district near Tokyo Bay on April 25, 2020.

Small Worlds Inc., the operator of the theme park, said it hopes to offer world-leading entertainment by utilizing cutting-edge visual technologies such as augmented reality and virtual reality.

The indoor facility has a total space of about 8,000 square meters.

Seven miniature model areas will reproduce famous places and anime scenes. The areas include cities from across the world, Kansai International Airport, Evangelion Tokyo-3 and “Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon.”

The admission ticket is priced at 2,700 yen for adults and 1,500 yen for children.

Small Worlds aims to attract two million visitors in the first year. It plans to open a miniature theme park in the southernmost Japan prefecture of Okinawa in 2021.
