World Tea Culture Exhibition draws crowds in central Tokyo
TOKYO: The World Tea Culture Exhibition opened near Tokyo Station on Saturday, drawing large crowds to celebrate global tea traditions. The two-day event, held September 12–13 at the Tokyo City i Performance Zone in the basement of KITTE, showcases a diverse range of teas and cultural practices.
The exhibition features 29 booths offering tea products from Japan and other parts of Asia. Visitors can sample different varieties and learn preparation techniques, including how to blend teas with regional spices and herbs. Tea leaves and related merchandise are available for purchase.
While Japan is internationally recognized for its unique tea culture, this event provides a broader perspective on global traditions.
The venue is conveniently located in KITTE, directly in front of Tokyo Station. It is accessible via underground passages, allowing visitors to reach the exhibition regardless of weather conditions.
