TOKYO: A Japanese project management expert is conducting Project Management Training 2025 for King Saud University.
OGAWA Takahisa, the course instructor, told Arab News Japan that he has been conducting the online project management course for the last several days. According to him, the course will conclude on 18 Dec. at King Saud University with an award ceremony attended by Japanese diplomats and a talk on understanding the Japanese mindset and behavior through Kaizen and the 5Smethod.
Ogawa has extensive on-site and offshore project expertise. “I’ve gained a wide yet deep perspective of multicultural business practices,” he told Arab News Japan. Ogawa has conducted the course in countries such as Saudi Arabia, India, Thailand, and Japan.
Ogawa has been joined in this project by faculty members from the Japanese Language Department at King Saud University: Prof. Shihab Faris, Dr. Yazed Aldulaimi, Dr. Tariq Hakami, and Dr. Haitham Alrasheed, a Saudi consultant and quality expert with contributions to PMI and applied artificial intelligence.
The course aims to help Saudi Arabia manage projects to assess factors such as whether the quality of the project is under control, if the costs are justified and if the project is working out satisfactorily.
“It aims to create a system so that Saudi Arabia can train project managers by themselves,” Mr. Ogawa said.
The training content is constantly being updated to keep pace with the market and technology changes. This time, in addition to the usual themes, the training included the new theme of “How to utilize AI for Project Management.”
The course aims to help students think for themselves and learn how to proceed with a project smoothly. After the training, it is hoped that students will become trainers themselves and find employment as project managers in Saudi Arabian companies.
