NASA is helping people expand their cosmic knowledge by opening up their large database of educational material such as videos, pictures, podcasts, and virtual and augmented reality tours of the Hubble Space Telescope and International Space Station.

NASA at Home also has an application that allows users to virtually sit in the pilot’s seat of a spacecraft.

“We know people everywhere, especially students, are looking for ways to get out of the house without leaving their house,” said associate administrator for NASA’s Office of Communications Bettina Inclán. “NASA has a way for them to look to the skies and see themselves in space with their feet planted safely on the ground, but their imaginations are free to explore everywhere we go. We’ve put that information at their fingertips. We hope everyone takes a few moments to explore NASA at Home.”

Those interested can also check out the Hubble Space archive on NASA’s website. Celebrating its 30 years in orbit, NASA created the fun tool for users to check out the pictures taken on their birth dates.

With a 30-year archive, the organization made it possible for people to check out the cosmic wonders that took place on certain dates.
