Dubai’s dining landscape has a new addition with the launch of YUBI, the region’s first homegrown handroll bar.
Located on 25 Jump Street, One Central, the concept is a collaboration between hospitality group 7 Management and acclaimed chef Reif Othman, who have come together to reimagine one of Japan’s most beloved street foods.
At YUBI, the focus is on freshly made handrolls served directly to the counter, ensuring a crisp sheet of nori, perfectly warm rice, and balanced fillings in every bite. The menu highlights the brand’s “OG” rolls, which showcase bold flavors and craftsmanship.
Among the signatures are:
Sake & Gochujang Mayo: Salmon paired with a spicy-sweet Korean twist.
Hamachi & Yuzu Kosho: Yellowtail lifted by citrusy Japanese yuzu pepper.
Spicy Tuna & Red Yuzu Kosho: A punchy take on the classic, with a fragrant kick.
Beyond handrolls, diners can explore a curated menu of sashimi, nigiri, wagyu dishes and inventive small plates. Highlights include pristine cuts of tuna and salmon, wagyu enriched with truffle and tempura paired with unique sauces.
The space itself reflects Japanese street culture infused with hip-hop energy, creating an atmosphere where food, music and design come together for a dynamic dining experience.
Rabih Fakhreddine, Founder & Group CEO of 7 Management, said: “As a homegrown brand, YUBI represents the evolution of Dubai’s dining culture. The menu is fresh, vibrant, and approachable – a place where everyone feels welcome.”
Chef Reif Othman added: “Japanese food is about balance and flavor. At YUBI, we elevate the humble handroll into something unforgettable – bold, fresh, and distinctive.”
With its mix of gastronomy, culture and creativity, YUBI is poised to set a new standard in Dubai’s culinary scene.
