In preparation for the Fall 2021 academic year, the International University of Japan located in Niigata Prefecture, announced that it will host online information sessions and offer tuition scholarships to prospective applicants.

The online information sessions will be offered by the IUJ alumni around the world, who are collaborating with the campus to act as “ambassadors” that provide information about the university’s master degree programs and campus life through sharing their experiences first-hand.

The first seven Zoom events hosted by the IUJ alumni

Mongolia Aug. 16,      11am – 12noon Mongolia time (12noon-1pm Japan time)

India Aug. 16,             11am – 12noon India time, (2:30pm-3:30pm Japan time)

Indonesia Aug. 16,      2pm – 3pm Indonesia Time (4pm-5pm Japan time)

Myanmar Aug. 26,      10:00 – 11:30am Myanmar time (12:30-2pm Japan Time)

In order to attend an online session, interested individuals are required to fill an application form one business week before the date of the respective session.

Sessions with members of the IUJ staff will also be arranged for those seeking additional information and can be found on the university website.

With 2020 presenting many families with financial challenges, IUJ has initiated a “Voucher” scholarship system that allows their alumni to share vouchers with people within their network.

The vouchers grant new students that are friends with alumni members a guaranteed scholarship that covers 50 percent of their tuition, and immediate family members a 70 percent reduction in tuition, upon their acceptance into one of the IUJ degree programs.
