McDonald’s Japan and Godiva collaborate for the winter

McDonald’s Japan is collaborating with prestigious chocolate brand Godiva to deliver a special drink for the winter.

McDonald’s Japan’s website states that this is the first collaboration between Godiva and McCafé and will only be available for a limited time.

McCafé is a coffee-house chain operated by McDonald’s and offers various latte options, hot chocolate, espresso, Americano and cappuccino as well as pastries and sweets.  

The newest drink was released on Nov. 25, and will cost ¥540 ($5).

The Godiva Chocolate Espresso Frappe is made using a blend of cocoa powder, espresso, milk and is topped with whipped cream and chocolate sauce.

McDonald’s Japan and Godiva are also offering a second variation of the drink that comes with a vanilla macaron for ¥640 ($6.15)

McDonald’s website shares that this drink is a special winter frappe, offering the bittersweet and crisp taste of espresso and macaron as well as the rich taste of chocolate.
