Japan’s DIP Corporation is working to develop ANIVO, an app that employs AI technology to enhance viewers’ anime- watching experience.

The app, which will be made available in 2021, functions in a similar way to popular applications like Shazam, but the difference is that ANIVO utilizes AI to listen, detect and identify anime voice actors.

ANIVO is straightforward, as users can simply download the app and gaccess all the features upon doing so—users can also pre-register for the app before its official launch to get a feel for it.

The app’s primary purpose is to help viewers identify voice actors they recognize or are intrigued by.

The search also gives viewers insight into actors’ other work, offering a profile of them

These features further simplify the process of locating and identifying anime series and movies that may be of interest, while also redirecting to where they can be watched.

DIP Corp’s app comes at a time when anime is gaining more recognition, especially given the impact of lockdowns amidst the pandemic.
