TOKYO: Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary General of the League of Arab States, paid a courtesy call on Japan’s Chief Cabinet Secretary HAYASHI Yoshimasa on Wednesday and had a candid exchange of views, which included the topic of cooperation on education between Japan and Arab countries.

Chief Cabinet Secretary Hayashi expressed his pleasure toonce again meetAboulGheit, who is attending the 5th Japan-Arab Economic Forum in Tokyo.

Aboul Gheit told Hayashi that it was his first visit to Japan as Secretary General of the League of Arab States and that he would like to further deepen Japan-Arab relations through his visit.

The two sidesagreed tocontinueworkingtogether for peace and stabilityin the Middle East.
