TOKYO: Japan’s domestically-produced sources of energy such as nuclear power and perovskite solar cells are important for the country, TAKAICHI Sanae, the newly-elected prime minister, told parliament on Friday.

She added that Japan was also aiming for early deployment of next-generation innovative reactors and the rollout of fusion energy, new technologies yet to be widely expanded.
