TOKYO: Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs ONISHI Yohei told Syrian Chargé d’Affaires ad interim Najib Elji on Wednesday that Japan will support a comprehensive, peaceful, and stable transition by the Syrian government and people “in cooperation with the international community.”

Japan’s Foreign Ministry reported that Eljj paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Minister.

Chargé d’Affaires ad interim Elji conveyed his appreciation for Japan’s consistent support and expressed his hope to strengthen bilateral coordination.
