Japan hopes for stable US-Europe ties after Trump’s NATO comments

TOKYO: Japan hopes for ​stable ties between the United States and Europe, the country’s top government ‌spokesperson ‌said ​on ‌Thursday ⁠following ​U.S. President Donald ⁠Trump’s remarks that he was considering pulling the U.S. ⁠out of ‌NATO.

“Our ‌country ​expects ‌stable ties ‌between the United States and Europe. We will ‌keep watching related development closely with ⁠great ⁠interest, and respond appropriately,” Chief Cabinet Secretary Minoru Kihara told a regular news ​conference.
