TOKYO: The Tokyo Olympics organizing committee reported on Monday 28 new cases of novel coronavirus infection among people qualified to be involved in the Games.
They are six people related to the Games, including residents in the Olympic Village, 13 contract personnel, six volunteers, two members of the committee and one journalist.
Monday’s tally brought the total number of infection cases linked to the Tokyo Games since July 1 to 458.
The Tokyo Olympic Games, postponed for a year due to the coronavirus pandemic, were brought to an end on Sunday.
