Japanese Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako visited Ise Jingu, a Shinto shrine complex in Mie Prefecture, central Japan, again on Saturday to report the completion of a series of ceremonies related to his enthronement.

Saturday's "Shinetsu-no-Gi" ritual was performed at the complex's Naiku inner area after a similar ritual was conducted at the Geku outer area the previous day.

Clad in the "Korozen-no-Goho" traditional Imperial ritual costume, Emperor Naruhito arrived in a horse-drawn carriage at the Shogu shrine, where the sun goddess and Imperial ancestor Amaterasu Omikami is enshrined.

He moved on to the shrine's main building with the sword and the jewel from the three Imperial regalia, and offered a "tamagushi" Shinto offering and worshipped.

Empress Masako, in white "junihitoe" ceremonial kimono, followed suit after arriving at the Shogu shrine in the convertible used for the couple's enthronement parade earlier this month.
