TOKYO: Japan’s Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, ONISHI Yohei, and the Minister of Health of Libya, Dr. Mohamed Ali Al-Ghouj, have reached an agreement to enhance bilateral relations across multiple sectors.

According to the ForeignMinistry, Vice-Minister Onishi welcomed Minister Al-Ghouj’s visit to Japan on Monday, as well as the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare, Mr. UENO.

Vice-Minister Onishi noted that these developments serve to further the positive momentum in the bilateral relationship. Furthermore, he highlighted Japan’s ongoing contributions to the health sector and expressed his perspective regarding the potential for expanded cooperation between the two nations.

In response, Minister Al-Ghouj conveyed his appreciation for Japan’s contributions to the medical field and affirmed his intention to deepen the cooperative partnership in accordance with the signed memorandum.

Both parties reached a consensus to collaborate on the continued promotion of bilateral relations across various fields, with a particular emphasis on the health sector, the Ministry said.
