TOKYO: The 23rd edition of the Doha Forum will take place in Qatar on December 6 and 7 under the theme “Justice in Action: Beyond Promises to Progress.” The Forum’s stated aim is to “exchange perspectives and explore pathways toward a more just, balanced and sustainable world.”

The Doha Forum brings together world leaders, policymakers, and experts from across the globe to engage in the challenges facing the world today, from peace and security to economic resilience and technological transformation.

“At a time of profound global change, Doha Forum continues to serve as a neutral and inclusive platform for dialogue and diplomacy,” Mubarak Ajlan Al-Kuwari, the Forum’s Executive Director said. “By bringing together diverse perspectives, we aim to strengthen mutual understanding and foster solutions that advance the common good.”

In conjunction with leading think tanks and international institutions, the 2025 program will explore today’s critical issues, from conflict prevention and economic reform to energy security, AI governance, and media integrity.

Doha Forum 2025 will bring together heads of state and government to foreign ministers, institutional leaders and others who shape global policy. This year’s edition is expected to welcome over 5,000 participants from more than 160 countries. 

Doha Forum 2025 says it aims to move beyond rhetoric and take concrete actions to support sustainable prosperity and address injustice, emphasizing the need for an integrated approach that combines policy innovation, fair and transparent resource allocation, and collaborative solutions to build a more just and sustainable future.

“Our goal is to inspire collaborative solutions that make justice a tangible reality worldwide,” Al-Kuwari stated.

Topics at this year’s Forum include sessions on US Strategy in the Middle East – how US actions in the Middle East align with or diverge from stated ambitions and what this means for allies and partners across the region; New Syria One Year On – Syria’s transition one year after the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime; Arms Control – how to revive momentum for nuclear arms control; AI’s Role in Economic Transformation and Global Power – how AI is redefining global power; and US-China Relations.
