Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Japan Ghazi Faisal S. Binzagr discussed the Kingdom and Japan’s longstanding ties and the potential for new collaborative opportunities with former Japan Foreign Minister KAMIKAWA Yoko.

In a social media post, Binzagr said the two officials covered “vital topics,” ranging from “marine environmental protection and global health security to supporting startups and strengthening cooperation in the food and agriculture sectors.”

The pair also spoke about women empowerment and the “crucial role” it played in fostering peace and security.

Binzagr said such dialogues play a key role in driving innovation and reinforcing shared values.

Saudi Arabia and Japan celebrate their 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations this year, with many events and commemorations planned throughout 2025.
