TABUK: Saudi Arabia’s University of Tabuk president Abdulaziz Alghamdi on Wednesday inaugurated the Energy Efficiency Symposium.

The university’s Faculty of Engineering organized the symposium in partnership with Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), the Energy Conservation Center, Japan (ECCJ), and the Saudi Energy Efficiency Center, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

MORINO Yasunari, Japan’s envoy to Saudi, attended the event, along with representatives from the government and private sectors, as well as local and international experts in energy and sustainability.

It also supports national initiatives aimed at improving energy efficiency and rationalizing consumption, while fostering cooperation with local and international partners to promote knowledge exchange, scientific research, and innovation in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
