RIYADH: Saudi Arabia announced 39 more deaths from the novel coronavirus COVID-19 and 4,919 new cases of the disease on Wednesday.

Nearly half of new cases were recorded in Riyadh where 2,371 new cases were announced. Makkah recorded 282 new cases, Jeddah recorded 279, Hufof 273 and Madinah 156.

The health ministry added that 2,122 more people have recovered from the virus, taking the total number of recoveries in the Kingdom to 91,662.

A total of 1,091 people have died from the virus in the Kingdom so far.
