RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s health ministry announced the recovery of 5,488 more patients from COVID-19 on Wednesday.

The ministry also recorded 2,671 new cases of the disease and 42 more deaths from it.

Of the new cases, 250 were reported in Jeddah, 226 in Riyadh, 211 in Hufof and 144 in Dammam.

The total number of recoveries in the Kingdom has increased to 183,048.

A total of 2,325 people have succumbed to the virus in the Kingdom so far.
