DUBAI: Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Japan Nayef Al-Fahadi met with Japanese politician for the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Toshihiro Nikai and other members of the ruling party on March 30 to discuss the common interests of the Saudi-Japan Vision 2030 initiative.
According to Saudi Arabia’s embassy in Tokyo, the ambassador also met Japan’s Minister of Environment Tsuyoshi Yamaguchi as well as LDP member Tadahiko Ito. The Saudi representative of the Ministry of Investment Mohammed Al-Dahlawi was also present at the meeting.

The officials reiterated their cooperation in strengthening bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.
Meanwhile in Riyadh, Japan Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Iwai Fumio received the Japanese delegation visit in Riyadh in order to continue talks in order to enhance cooperation for the initiative.
Iwai tweeted on March 29: “A Japanese delegation arrived in Riyadh yesterday to consult with the Saudi side and discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in accordance with the Saudi- Japan Vision 2030.”

The Saudi-Japan Vision 2030, established in 2017, aims to facilitate public and private sector involvement between Saudi Arabia and Japan by aligning and reporting on strategic initiatives that contribute to the objectives of each country’s national growth and development strategies.
