RIYADH: The Saudi Electronics & Home Appliances Institute (SEHAI), which is an established technical training institute, recently welcomed Satoshi Ohuchi, the Deputy Director-General Manufacturing Industries Bureau, and Kentaro Hara, the Deputy Director Office for Intellectual Property Right Protection Manufacturing Industries Bureau, from Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).

The two Japanese officials toured SEHAI to get a first-hand understanding of how the institute conducts workshops and provides comprehensive training programs to enable the students complete their studying and at the same time guarantee them a bright future career.

Ohuchi and Hara also visited one of Japan’s essence classes in SEHAI, called Monodzukiri, which literally means production or making of things in Japanese, where the trainees understand electronic components and how they work through building electronic devices.

The two officials were made aware that SEHAI’s curriculum is not only about teaching technical knowledge but also putting the emphasis on making trainees realize “learning technology is interesting”.

The visit overall provided Ohuchi and Hara a good understanding that SEHAI is the institution which incorporates the know-how of Japanese teaching method and Saudi youth’s eagerness to learn.
