JEDDAH: Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance Abdullatif Al-Asheikh and the head of the Muslim Religious Administration in Russia, Sheikh Rawi Ayn Al-Din, on Thursday inked the executive program of a previously agreed memorandum of understanding between the two countries.

The signing ceremony took place at the minister’s office in Jeddah, and the terms of the agreement will see the organization of scientific sessions in Russia to train preachers, imams, orators, and muezzins.

They will be involved in promoting Islamic values and opposition to extremism, as well as highlighting its position on contemporary issues.

Copies of publications by the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Qur’an will also be provided to the Russia Muftis Council and the Religious Administration of Russia’s Muslims.
