DUBAI: Japanese clothing brands AAPE and ASICS will take part in Dubai’s SOLE music and lifestyle festival, taking place from Dec. 8 to 10.
SOLE DXB is an annual event that takes place in Design District and celebrates music, art, and lifestyle. This year’s edition will celebrate hip-hop with a lineup filled with popular rappers, such as American rapper Busta Rhymes. Tickets start at ¥7,082.
AAPE is the sister brand of the streetwear brand A Bathing Ape (BAPE), founded by Japanese designer Nigo. Established in 2012, the brand has its own distinctive logo and its own themes while still under the BAPE brand. The Tokyo-based brand has branches in Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates.
ASICS is a Japanese sports brand founded by Kihachiro Onitsuka in 1949. The brand will be hosting a unique stand at SOLE, inspired by Japanese heritage.
The Japanese brand will also be hosting a variety of events to celebrate hip-hop, such as a talk and a chess tournament by American rapper Lupe Fiasco.
