DUBAI: Japanese flamenco dancers Miyuki Ryuko and Hiromi Fyfe, alongside Spanish dancers, performed in Dubai’s Sima Performing Arts on June 9, where everyone felt the rhythm, color, and magic of flamenco.

“The main highlight of the event was bringing top artists from both Spain and Japan to give a performance to a wonderful audience that was close enough to feel the passion of flamenco,” Fyfe told Arab News Japan.

About the challenges in organizing and arranging the event, Fyfe said: “The main challenges were finding the right venue and marketing the event in order to ensure a full house.”

The response to the event was extremely positive, with many asking when the next event would take place.

Fyfe shared that she is planning to bring artists from Spain every day. In Jan. 2025, she will bring Cristina Aguilera Medina, singer Miguel Lavi, and guitarist David Caro to Dubai, where they will perform their original story “Emuná” at the theatre of digital art.

“We are also planning another tablao show at Lola Taberna Spanish restaurant where you can enjoy a flamenco show while you have dinner over there,” she added.
