ABU DHABI: A campaign promoting Japan’s Shika town, which is located in Hakui District, Ishikawa Prefecture, is being held at Abu Dhabi’s Ocha Cafe Sakura, where products like beautiful seashell accessories are being featured and sold at the cafe until July 31. 

“The highlight is to promote and help Shika Island, which had a big earthquake at the beginning of this year. However, they are trying to recover as soon as possible, while at the same time introducing the beauty beach and the Sakura shell product,” Michyo Chiba, founder and owner of Ocha Cafe Sakura, told Arab News Japan.

“We got positive feedback from people who were impressed by the nice beach and cute Sakura shells as many of them didn’t know about Shika town and they are looking forward to visit it and try the sea food over there,” she added. 

Chiba mentioned that Shika town will have promotional event on February 2025 to sell local products during that time.
