DUBAI: French luxury brand Dior announced that its iconic Pre-Fall 2025 runway show will land in Kyoto on April 15, highlighting the brand’s ties with Japan.
Held previously in Seoul, Mumbai, and New York, the brand’s show will take place at Kyoto’s UNESCO World Heritage Site Tō-ji Temple. The show will feature a collection designed by Italian designer Maria Grazia Chiuri.
Dior shared that the upcoming collection will showcase Christian Dior and his successors’s fascination with Japan.
According to Chiuri, Christian Dior collaborated with a Kyoto-based silk workshop in the early 1950s, which led him to design various looks for his haute couture collection from the Japanese textile.
