Japanese dance group OSAKA Ojo Gang won the third season of South Korean reality dance competition ‘World of Street Woman Fighter’ (WSWF) on Tuesday, reflecting Japan’s dominance in the hip-hop dance scene worldwide.
The highly anticipated finale featured the seven members, Ibuki, Ruu, Minami, Uwa, Junna, Kyoka, and Hana, dressed in white and red outfits as they showcased their diverse skills and personalities in highly detailed choreography that captured the audience’ attention.
Although considered underdogs at the beginning of the season, the dance group showcased their unity and skills in the finale, highlighting the team’s growth through the season that helped them achieve victory.
The team competed in the finale against Australia’s AG SQUAD.
“We have worked so hard for this day,” Ibuki, who is the leader of the group, said after winning. “This was part of our youth. I’m really glad everyone enjoyed it.”

The group went viral in June for their ‘OSAKA Ojo-damashii’ choreography that highlighted various elements of Japanese culture, such as cherry blossoms.
The choreography, which gained more than 8 million views since it was released, included K-pop group TWICE’s Japanese members Momo and Sana.
The Japanese victory was met with praise from viewers online. “I think they are the only team that shows a different stage every time,” one viewer commented on their dance video. “Since they have done several stages until the finals, it is natural that they feel similar.”
“From being an underdog to champions. My heart is so happy for Ojo Gang,” another viewer said. “They rose from the bottom of the ranking to the top—from losing all the battles and missions to dominating the show. They are indeed the most unique team. They came from the same place but have different genres.”
Members of the group have embarked on solo activities prior to participating in the show, marking their presence in the Japanese and international dance scene.
OSAKA Ojo Gang’s Ruu is the leader of Japanese dance group Fabulous Sisters, who performed as part of Fusion Japan in Dubai’s Global Village in 2024.
Ruu, who began dancing at the age of 2, has choreographed a variety of popular Japanese songs, such as Paradise by Niziu, the theme song for “Doraemon the Movie 2023,” as well as Coconut by the same group.
“I create works through trial and error so that I can do my best depending on the audience,” she said in an interview with Arab News Japan last year. “I make sure to switch up the choreography and production for artists, Fabulous Sisters, and Fusion Japan.”
Throughout the season, members of Fabulous Sisters showed support to their leader, highlighting the bond between the members.

Moreover, member Kyoka gained popularity in South Korea on social media for her edgy street style and confident appeal.
Born in 1996, the Osaka native was the first Japanese dancer to win the Juste Debout street dance competition in France at the age of 19 in 2016, according to the Korea Times.
The dancer now has more than 700k followers on Instagram, jumping from 190,000 prior to the show.

Besides OSAKA Ojo Gang, this season of WSWF included another Japanese team named RHTokyo, making Japan the only country on the show with two participating teams.
The team consisted of eight members, led by renowned choreographer RIEHATA, who choreographed for various K-pop groups like BTS, TWICE, and EXO.
This season, RHTokyo gained attention on social media for choreographing the song ‘Echo,’ performed by Hoshi and Woozi from the K-pop group SEVENTEEN.
The Japanese group ranked fifth on the show after being eliminated on episode 6.
WSWF’s third season premiered in May on the South Korean channel MNET.
