YOKOHAMA: About 30 art works by the young self-taught artist Yukari Yamada are being exhibited at the CondeHouse gallery in Yokohama, showing imaginary landscapes or scenes that evoke places such as Tokyo, Yokohama and Nagano, as well as China and Europe.

More abstract works evoke a starry sky, a journey of the Wizard of Oz, or an anamorphic bouquet of flowers in which a human face can barely be seen as in the paintings of the Italian painter Arcimboldo.

The works of the artist Yukari Yamada harmonize with the furniture exhibited in the gallery and invite the viewer to rest in contemplation.

In 2019, the artist exhibited her personal work at the Shanghai Art Museum and some of her works were commissioned by the Tokyo Art Museum.

Next to each work, a QR code provides access to the caption of the painting.

The “Artistic Life of Artist Yukari Yamada” exhibition takes place from October 16 to November 30 at the CondeHouse Gallery in Yokohama from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. except Wednesday and Thursday.
