DUBAI: A theatrical adaptation of Hayao Miyazaki’s ‘Spirited Away’ is now on show at Tokyo’s Imperial Theatre until March 29, led by Les Misérables director and honorary Associate Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company John Caird.
This on-stage production impressively resembles the animation that is loved by fans globally, by utilizing carefully designed costumes and sets as well as a cast of 40 actors and dancers including Kanna Hashimoto and Mone Kamishiraishi.
“Our cast of 40 actors and dancers, led by Kanna Hashimoto and Mone Kamishiraishi have been unbelievably supportive and positive throughout the most arduous rehearsal process I’ve ever had to endure,” Caird said in a Tweet.
