Comic Stop, one of the most popular comics bookstores in Dubai hosted the “Free Comic Book Day” event that was attended by fans who were excited to get their hands on the free issues of FCBD titles.

Speaking to Arab News Japan, Saeed Arjumand, the manager and founder of Comic Stop shared his feedback for the event: “For this year’s event we brought a giant Star Wars ‘Chewbacca’ Funko Pop box for everyone to take pictures in it as part of Star Wars Day celebration (May 4^th), we were happy to bring a fun experience for the Star Wars fans in UAE.”

“Overall, we are glad that many people came to our store and got copies of FCBD 2023 titles from major comics and manga publishers such as: Marvel, DC, Image Comics, Viz Media, etc…,” he added.

This year’s edition of Free Comic Book Day featured over 44 titles including Japanese titles such as: Shaman King Flowers/ Welcome to Demon School Iruma-Kun, Street Fighter 6, Animal Crossing/ Kirby Manga Mania and Choujin X/ Rooster Fighter.
