UAE’s Minister of Industry agrees with Japan Prime Minister on boosting ties

TOKYO: Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Special Envoy to Japan of the United Arab Emirates, paid a courtesy call on Japanese Prime Minister KISHIDA Fumio on Friday and discussed the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Initiative (CSPI) between the two countries.

Prime Minister Kishida welcomed Minister Jaber’s visit to Japan and emphasized how important Japan regards the strategic partnership with the UAE. He said it was his aim to further strengthen cooperation with the UAE in various fields via the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Initiative. 

Kishida expressed appreciation for the UAE’s stable supply of crude oil to Japan over the years and the UAE’s consideration for the participation of Japanese companies in the upstream development of crude oil.

Kishida sought cooperation for greater stabilization of the crude oil market, as well as increases in production. 

Minister Al Jaber expressed his renewed hopes for strengthening bilateral relations with Japan and the two ministers exchanged views on how this can be realized, especially bilateral economic ties.
