


TOKYO: Japan and Morocco signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on Monday to promote investment and trade activities by Japanese companies in the Kingdom of Morocco.
The MOU was signed by Japan’s Minister of Economy, Trade, and Industry, MUTO Yoji and Karim Zidane, Morocco’s Minister in Charge of Investment, Convergence and the Evaluation of Public Policies.
The two countries’ respective ministries will endeavor to support investment and trade by Japanese companies in Morocco.
During the meeting, the two ministers discussed ways of deepening economic relations by helping Japanese companies in Morocco, which serves as a hub for exports from Africa to the European market due to its proximity to Europe.
