Tokyo’s Toei subway has begun testing tap-and-go card and mobile payment solutions across 26 stations, enhancing the usability of the subway for locals and tourists.

This initiative is available across 26 stations on the Toei Subway Asakusa Line, Mita Line, and Oedo Line, and 10 stations on the Keikyu Line, enabling travelers from Haneda Airport and various areas in Tokyo to enjoy cashless transactions.

With nearly 20 million foreign tourists visiting Tokyo annually, this system makes it easier for all nationals to enjoy the Toei subway.

This initiative is provided by Sumitomo Mitsui Card Company’s touch payment services for public transportation.
