TOKYO: Japanese Prime Minister ISHIBA Shigeru said on Tuesday the government will slash gasoline prices by 10 yen ($0.0713) per litre from May 22 as part of measures to curb rising energy prices.

Ishiba also said the government will implement subsidies for electricity and gas for July through September.
