TOKYO: Japan’s top trade negotiator Ryosei Akazawa said on Monday that the country will continue to demand the full removal of U.S. tariffs in a second round of negotiations scheduled for this week.

“There’s no change to (our) position,” Akazawa told reporters, adding that Japan would not sacrifice its farm products in exchange for autos in the tariff negotiations with the United States.
