RIYADH: Tourism direct contribution to Saudi GDP fell to 1.7 percent in 2020, official data showed.

Travel restrictions related to the Covid-19 pandemic saw tourism’s contribution to GDP decline from 3.8 percent in 2019, according to the General Authority for Statistics.
