ISOMATA Akio, Ambassador, Embassy of Japan in the UAE, hosted the conferment ceremony of the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon to Yousef bin Omeir Al Muhairi, former CEO, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) at the Ambassador’s residence of Japan in the UAE recently.

This decoration was announced by the Government of Japan in April 2022, in recognition of His Excellency’s contributions to developing friendly bilateral relations between Japan and the UAE.

In the ceremony, Ambassador ISOMATA awarded the decoration and the diploma to Al Muhairi, and expressed his gratitude for His Excellency’s important role on developing relationship between Japan and the UAE in the oil related projects for a long time, and especially, His Excellency’s countless contributions to stable oil supply to Japan.

Al Muhairi also contributed on strengthening cooperation with Japan since H.E. had been inaugurated as CEO of ADNOC.

Especially, H.E. provided great contribution as Director General of Supreme Petroleum (SPC) Council when Abu Dhabi Oil Company (ADOC) agreed New Concession Agreement with SPC for 30 years since 2012.
