SHARM EL-SHEIKH, Egypt: Japan is presenting its Japan Pavilion at COP27 with the theme of “Solutions to the World,” including exhibitions and seminars on the long-term goal for combating climate change by “becoming carbon neutral by 2050.”
In order to achieve the temperature targets of the Paris Agreement and become carbon neutral by 2050, Japan is earnestly striving to fulfill their goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 46% by 2030.
Faced with an increasingly urgent need to take action, the Japan Pavilion proposes to use Japan’s state-of-the-art technology to
as a solution that takes into account the conditions and needs of each country so that it can be implemented anywhere in the world.
The Japan Pavilion features exhibitions by the Ministry of the Environment, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), SPACECOOL Inc., Taisei Corporation, Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions Corporation, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd., JFE Engineering Corporation., JGC Holdings Corporation, Panasonic Holdings Corporation, Hitachi Ltd., as well as a presentation by the Office for Fukushima Regeneration Project which introduces the “today” of Fukushima, 11 years after the Great East Japan Earthquake and nuclear accident, with environmental restoration efforts and a future revitalization plan that utilizes renewable energy.
