
TOKYO: Sony announced on Tuesday that it donated around 31 million yen as an emergency support fund for the victims of the earthquakes that severely affected Syria and Turkiye.
Sony also implemented an employee donation campaign at Sony Group companies in Japan.
Around 2,200 employees donated to the campaign, which brought in an additional donation of around 48 million yen.
The total support of the Sony Group as a whole, including the employee donations, amounted to 79 million yen.
Sony offered its sympathy to the victims of the earthquakes, adding: “We sincerely pray for the speedy recovery of the disaster area.”
