ABU DHABI: Japanese electronics company Casio launched its first G-SHOCK branch in Abu Dhabi earlier this month.

Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, Casio’s G-SHOCK is a line of watches that are mainly designed for sports, military, and outdoor activities due to their mechanical stress, shock, and vibration. 

The store is located at Al Wahda Mall, and the opening ceremony was attended by Takashi Seimiya, Managing Director of Casio Middle East and Africa FZE, and Suresh Somanath, General Manager of Al Wifaq General Trading LLC.

A representative of the electronics company Al Wifaq General Trading LLC told Arab News Japan regarding the launch “we are very pleased to open the first G-SHOCK in the UAE’s capital as most of the local customers in Abu Dhabi didn’t find the proper place for G-SHOCK watches in the past.”

“The new G-SHOCK branch will feature some of the latest and exclusive collections of Casio’s G-SHOCK collection as well as special offers that are only available in G-SHOCK stores around the UAE,” he added.

Additionally, the representative expressed his excitement for opening new branches in Abu Dhabi’s Marina Mall and Dubai’s Mirdif City Center.

G-SHOCK’s other UAE branches are in Al Ghurair Center, City Center Deira, Ibn Battuta Mall, Dubai Mall, City Centre Sharjah, and City Center Ajman.
