DUBAI: UNIQLO, Japanese fashion brand, is making the first Studio Ghibli collection bringing affordable otaku clothes to anime and Studio Ghibli fans.
UNIQLO’s t-shirts are designed by a different artist every time and this time Studio Ghibli’s collection has been made with Thai designer Kanyada Phatan.
The collection is first releasing in Thailand and Singapore as the collaboration with Phatan, a regular contributor to the Studio Ghibli magazine Neppu, would make sense to first pay homage to her home country.
This specific collection has more to add to UNIQLO’s regular collections.

Unlike the basic t-shirts and long-sleeved shirts; Phatan’s collection is massive.
Iconic graphic t-shirts all in Phatan bright colorful art style where some of them have Ghibli movies featured on them, such as My Neighbor Totoro and Spirited Away.
The collection includes three button-up shirts from My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, and Princess Mononke, as well as three mini shoulder bags and two pairs of socks.
