DUBAI: The College of Languages and Sciences at King Saud University will conduct the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) on Dec 3.
The JLPT is a standardized criterion-referenced test to evaluate and certify Japanese language proficiency for non-native speakers.
The test covers a range of topics such as language knowledge and reading and listening abilities.
The program started in 1984 in response to the growing demand for standardized Japanese language certification; hence, building the foundation of the Japanese language to speakers both in and outside Japan.
The test is conducted and administered by the Japan Foundation for overseas tests and by the Japan Educational and Exchanges Services for tests in Japan.
The JLPT consists of five levels (N5 being the lowest and N1 being the highest) and does not expire or become invalid over time.
