DUBAI:  Dubai’s family-run Japanese restaurant, Itadaku, has recently celebrated its 1st anniversary, as they promised to deliver authentic Japanese cuisine for many years to come.

The name of the restaurant is short for the word ‘itadakimasu,’ which means ‘gratitude for receiving.’

Exclusively to Arab News Japan, a representative of itadaku reflected on the anniversary, saying, “Thanks to everyone’s patronage and support, itadaku was able to celebrate its first anniversary. This past year has been a constant learning experience for us about Middle Eastern culture and business. In doing so, we continue to make efforts to introduce authentic Japanese cuisine and Japanese culture to customers in the Middle East.”

The representative shared that the restaurant now imports more ingredients from Japan. “Chef Masaru communicates directly with Japanese markets and producers, and the products are delivered by reliable suppliers,” she said. “We use great ingredients from Japan, which we receive through the cooperation of many people, to prepare our dishes with time, effort, and sincerity.”

“Many customers are happy and say, ‘You can experience the real Japan at itadaku.’ For our team from Japan, this means “gratitude” for everything, which is exactly the origin of the restaurant name. We will continue to work even harder to help people in the Middle East enjoy “real Japan.” All of our staff are looking forward to your visit,” she added.
