Bahrain Comic Con, the biggest pop culture convention in Bahrain, was hosted on April 26 and 27 this year at the Bahrain International circuit.

The two-day event featured various activities such as: cosplay, gaming stations and artist alley as well as major guests including renowned Japanese anime voice actor Yuki Kaji (Eren Yeager in Attack on Titan).

Exclusively to Arab News Japan, a representative of Bahrain Comic Con mentioned the main features and highlights at the event: “This year’s edition of Bahrain Comic Con boasted several exciting highlights, notably the inclusion of a renowned Japanese anime voice actor Yuki Kaji and the presence of a football legend Jhon Terry, marking a significant first for our event”.

About the challenges During organizing this year’s edition of the event, the representative said: “One notable challenge we encountered during the organization of this year’s event revolved around the setup days. With a substantially increased number of vendors and artists, our team faced extensive building work requirements. Despite these challenges, we were delighted to accommodate the growing participation”.

About the response and feedback from the visitors of the event, the representative said: “We received overwhelmingly positive feedback from visitors at this year’s event. Attendees expressed satisfaction with the diverse offerings and engaging activities, contributing to an atmosphere of enjoyment and excitement throughout the convention”.

Regarding their upcoming activities and events, the representative said: “Looking ahead, our calendar is filled with a multitude of engaging activities and events. From pop-up events to esports competitions and cosplay showcases, we have a diverse range of experiences planned. Additionally, preparations for Bahrain Comic Con 2025 are already underway, promising even more excitement and innovation for the future.”
